about DeAnna brings her passion and experience as a professional dancer to her work as an ACE-certified Personal Trainer. For the past sixteen years, she has held a private in-home personal training practice in the Greater Boston area working with athletes, dancers, and clients ages 8 to 80 looking for more effective and safer ways to lose weight and get in shape.
DeAnna has helped people lose 50 plus pounds, train for sporting events, get in-shape for reunions, eliminate blood-pressure and cholesterol medication, and cultivate deeper body awareness. Her specialties include strength-training / body-scuplting for women; and designing workouts for people with Parkinson's Disease. DeAnna regularly consults with specialists at Boston University's Neurorehabilitation Center to create safe and effective exercise programs to help people with PD improve quality of life and slow progression of the disease.
Through the process of rehabbing her own dance-related injuries, DeAnna has worked closely with experts in alternative health care, including chiropractors, energy practitioners, physical therapists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists. This work has provided her an invaluable perspective on anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, and energy modalities which she integrates into her work with clients. By re-patterning movement behavior and correcting misalignments in the spine and joints she helps people rehabilitate chronic injuries and prevent future misuse. DeAnna loves helping people discover and redefine the true capabilities of their bodies.

DeAnna is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer and holds a BA in Dance / Performance, with a dual minor in Business Management and Latin, from Roger Williams University. She has worked as a Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor at Donohoe Training, a private Olympic-Level training facility owned and operated by former Olympian Peter Donohoe. Currently she is a Master Trainer at Beacon Hill Athletic Club, working out of the North End / Waterfront location. DeAnna is a body-conditioning specialist on faculty at Boston Ballet where she teaches core-strengthening and body conditioning to their professional and pre-professional dancers; she also resides on dance faculty at Boston University and Simmons College.
Ms. Pellecchia is the Artistic Director / Choreographer of Boston-based KAIROS Dance Theater. As a professional dancer, choreographer, aerialist and dance educator DeAnna has performed, taught and toured nationally and internationally. She has danced with horses, in trees, on stilts, under water and through air; been featured in rodeos, operas, plays, fashion shows, books, movies and music videos; and in magazines/publications including STUFF Magazine, Dance Magazine, Backstage Magazine, The Boston Globe, and The Boston Herald. DeAnna is a principal dancer with critically acclaimed Paula Josa-Jones / Performance Works and an original cast member of PJJ/PW's RIDE, a project in which performers dance with live horses. An equestrian herself, DeAnna is descendant from a family of cowboys and has been riding horses since she could walk. She trained and competed in the Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do under Master Young Ho Jin, former trainer of the U.S. Olympic Team; she has also trained in Martial Art forms including Kalaripayattu (India), Capoeira (Brazil) and Wushu (China). DeAnna has studied Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, aerial dance, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Alexander Technique, Skinner Release Technique and Klein Technique, all of which inspire her work as a fitness professional.
