ALL THE PRETTY HORSES is a community-based, inter-species dance project and part of our ongoing programming, HORSES HELPING HORSES. Dancers perform with "throw away" horses that have been rescued from abuse or slaughter and now live safe and happy at the equine sanctuary Little Brook Farm, in Old Chatham, NY. Participants in the performance include the children, adult riders and vaulters from the farm, student dancers, and professional dancers from Paula Josa-Jones/Performance Works. ALL THE PRETTY HORSES features Amado, the rescued Mustang, ridden by Summer Brennan, dancing with DeAnna Pellecchia and Chandrika Carl-Jones; and singer Ryder Cooley performing the lullaby "All the Pretty Horses" while playing the singing saw.The premiere of this project was produced as a benefit for Little Brook Farm. Proceeds from ticket sales went directly toward funding educational and rescue programs.
