  • CHILDREN OF PROVIDENCE wins BEST FEATURE FILM at the Rob Knox Film Festival in London.... Filmmaker Gary Shore’s “Children of Providence”, starring DeAnna in the lead role of “Roxie”, won BEST FEATURE FILM at the Rob Knox Film Festival in London, England. COP had its world premiere in Providence on April 11th at the Cable Car Cinema as part of the 2010 Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival (SENE), where it won BEST REGIONAL FEATURE LENGTH FILM and the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD FOR BEST FEATURE LENGTH FILM . The film also won a John Muir Award at the Yosemite International Film Festival. CLICK HERE for more information.

  • "Horses are Born Dancing" by Paula Josa-Jones... As a principal dancer for Paula Josa-Jones/Performance Works, DeAnna has been dancing with horses for the past ten years. Paula Josa-Jones recently published an article in the Mar/Apr 2010 issue of Topline Ink Equestrian Journal in which she writes about the intricate language and understanding shared between horses and dancers.   • Anikai Dance Company, led by choreographer Wendy Jehlen, completes a four-show run at Dance Theater Workshop in NYC... “FOREST”, an evening-length performance which combines elements from Brazilian Capoeira, South Indian martial arts, West African dance and Contemporary dance, premiered in June at Boston University’s Dance Theater, and was followed by a four-show run at NYC's DTW in July.
